Kal Blassberger, General Counsel of the Emerald Group, oversees the legal and regulatory functions of Emerald and its portfolio companies. Prior to joining Emerald, Kal was a litigation associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he represented clients in a wide variety of civil litigation, bankruptcy litigation, and white collar enforcement matters.

Kal graduated from Harvard Law School, where he was a Dean’s Scholar Prize recipient, a board member of the Harvard Association for Law and Business, and an Editor of the Harvard Business Law Review.
